U.S. Women's Soccer Team

The U.S Women's soccer team is a team that almost everyone in the country knows about. When ever there's a big game going on all the soccer girls of the world have their eyes glued to the TV.

Since the Olympics were this past summer, all the soccer games were a must watch. They have some of the best players in the league. There's Abby Wambach, who's the teams main leader and captain that plays forward. She's won two gold medals and was the 2012 FIFA World Player of the Year. Abby has been part of the women's national team since 2003. In addition to the field players, Alex Morgan is another key teammate. She leads the team with her speed and quickness as she plays next to Abby on the field as a forward/striker. Switching over to the outside mid position, where I also play, is the super fast Megan Rapinoe. She is well known for her kicks across the top of the box. She also has a team high for assists tied with Alex Morgan. There are so many more team players that contribute to this awesome soccer team.

The most well known game is when they played in the championship at the 2012 Summer Olympics. They were playing Japan for the ultimate gold medal. Cali Lloyd was the key player in this game with both goals leading the team to a great win. She scored in the first eight minutes of the game and the second came in the 54th minute by a pass from Megan Rapinoe. They kept fighting the rough Japan team and got the win.

This team is hands down my favorite team to watch play. They are great to watch and learn from. All of their passing and foot skills are on point. There is no other team, in my opinion, that is better than them. They play quick and know how to get to goal. Oh and their jerseys are pretty cool, considering they get new ones every year.
